Following Sunday's deadly terrorist attack, a 27-year-old Israeli man was shot dead in another attack on Monday. Emergency services were able to transport the critically wounded man to a hospital, where he died shortly afterward. The attack occurred on the northern shore of the Dead Sea. The assailants, who fired on the victim's car, fled toward Jericho. The search for him continues, according to the Israeli online newspaper "Times of Israel.".
According to Israeli media reports, the victim is Elan Ganeles. He grew up in the US state of Connecticut and held both Israeli and American citizenship. He had traveled to Israel just a few days earlier to attend a wedding.
Another attack ends without injuries
On Monday evening, four shots were fired at an Israeli vehicle near Qusra, a Palestinian village south of Nablus. No one was injured.
The attacks occurred despite an increased military presence in the West Bank. Following the deadly attack on two Israelis on Sunday and subsequent violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians, the army had announced it would increase its presence.
During the riots on Monday night, dozens of houses and shops were destroyed by fire. On Monday, a member of the Labour Party (Avoda) launched an online fundraising campaign. Within 24 hours, more than €260,000 was raised. Around 7,300 people participated.
US travel warning

Due to the tense situation, the US has issued a travel warning for American citizens planning to visit Israel. "Terrorist groups, individual terrorists, and other violent extremists continue to plan possible attacks in Israel," the embassy website states.
