On the night of June 13, 2025, the Israeli army carried out a precise and meticulously planned preemptive military strike against the Iranian regime and its nuclear program. Large parts of Iran's military leadership, as well as leading nuclear scientists, were eliminated in Operation "Rising Lion" (based on Numbers 23:24).

As Christians standing with Israel, we welcome the Israeli military strike against the Iranian regime and its nuclear program. This step was right, strategically necessary, legitimate under international law, and ethically imperative. It will prove to be conducive to peace in the medium term. Israel has rendered a great service to the international community. Thank you, Israel!
The Iranian regime is the greatest obstacle to peace in the region and a key perpetrator of terrorism worldwide. We call on the German government to continue to stand unconditionally for Israel's right to exist and its security, and to emphasize its right to self-defense. The moment of truth, which Angela Merkel spoke of before the Knesset in 2008, is now! There must be no relativization or moral reversal in communication, no "two-sided" rhetoric. There is a good side and an evil side to this issue. Our country should choose the good side: Germany belongs on Israel's side without ifs, ands, or buts.
As Christians, we long for peace. Israel, too, longs for peace. But peace at the price of one's own death is impossible. Golda Meir famously said, "To be or not to be is not a matter of compromise." In biblical dogma, the state is the highest human authority, serving as a physical defense against evil: "Therefore, if you do not want to be afraid of the governing authorities, do what is right, and you will receive their praise, for they are God's servants for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for they do not bear the sword in vain; they are God's servants, bringing wrath on the wicked." (Romans 13:4-5)
The Jewish state was founded against the backdrop of the civilizational abyss of the Holocaust. Today, it has upheld the principle of "Never again." De-escalation can only occur once the threat posed by the Iranian nuclear program has been definitively and irreversibly averted.
