In the latest episode of the Lanz & Precht podcast, star presenter Markus Lanz ventures a questionable "analysis" of the events in the Middle East. Upon closer examination of the underlying worldview, it could have come directly from the antisemitic pamphlet known as Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
The antisemitic trope of a powerful Jewish cabal controlling the world, which Markus Lanz also employs here, has already revealed its true face in our country and caused immeasurable suffering. Even in its new guise of anti-Zionism, it loses none of its toxicity. Here, it is being disseminated by Germany's top four podcast, leveraging the reach of public broadcasting, into millions of timelines and minds. This is extremely dangerous, irresponsible, and must have personal consequences for such a prominent public figure.
