Dear friends and supporters of Christians standing with Israel!
Your prayers and donations for the Jews in Ukraine are making a tremendous difference in the current acute emergency!
“For every prayer, every word of encouragement, and every bit of support, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!” said Luca Hezel, Chairman of CSI. He emphasized: “For ‘times like these,’ we Christians stand with Israel. It is a privilege and a right, as Germans and as Christians, to be able to actively support the Jewish people and to participate in the fulfillment of what was prophesied in the Word of God.”
While we have already shed many tears with our Jewish friends over destroyed homelands and dramatic farewells to loved ones, we are simultaneously witnessing God writing a new chapter in the history of Israel's restoration. He is bringing His people back from the land of the north to their true homeland – Israel. Every rescued refugee is a miracle, and these miracles are happening hour by hour, day by day.
Many Jewish refugees, after traumatic experiences in their bombed-out hometowns, find a safe haven in our emergency shelter in western Ukraine, which we have been preparing for months, following the first leg of their journey. There, CSI staff and many dedicated volunteers from local Christian communities provide for them, offering comfort, hugs, and encouragement. From there, the Jewish refugees are transported to Moldova. The final stretch must be covered on foot. Buses await them on the other side, taking them to the airports in Chișinău or Bucharest. There, they are taken over by the Israeli immigrant organization Jewish Agency, which arranges the final leg of their journey – the flight to Eretz Israel. So far, we have been able to bring more than 2,000 Jews to safety!
That there is food in the emergency shelter and a mattress with bedding for everyone, that drivers and vehicles are ready and there is enough diesel, that the journey continues on the other side of the border and people don't have to sleep on the street, and that there is then a place for everyone on a plane that takes them to Israel – we owe all of this to you, dear donors!

“I’m going – I’m going to Israel,” says the elderly Ludmila, deeply moved, as a staff member enables her to make a phone call at the border. “It was so terrible when they bombed Belya Tserkov. That’s when I mustered up the courage to go. That we would be cared for so lovingly by you – first in the emergency shelter, and now here again at the border before continuing our journey – I never would have dreamed of it!”
Meanwhile, many elderly and frail Jews, whom we support through personal sponsorships and other means, continue to rely on care from staff members of local Jewish communities. In many cities, these staff members are now risking their lives to continue delivering urgently needed medications and food to those they support. Thanks to your continued support, we have also been able to provide emergency donations to many Jewish communities in this area.
