During their brutal attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists raped countless women and men. Almost all of the victims were subsequently murdered. The images and reports of these rapes have triggered severe trauma for numerous Israelis. For many who have experienced abuse or similar violence in their lives, long-forgotten memories resurfaced. The phone lines at support centers for victims of sexual violence throughout Israel were ringing off the hook. One such center is MASLAN.
