Terror victims

Victims of terrorism –
support for traumatized individuals and their burdened relatives

4400

Deaths from terror in Israel

Since the founding of the State of Israel in 1948, approximately 4400 people have been killed in the country as a result of terrorist attacks.

28.000+

Rocket attacks from Gaza

Since 2005, Palestinians from the Gaza Strip have fired more than 28,000 rockets at Israel.

Healing emotional wounds and giving new hope

For decades, the people of Israel have suffered from rocket fire, bombings, knife attacks, and other forms of terror. While some physical wounds heal after a certain period, many victims of terrorism continue to struggle with psychological trauma long afterward. Christians Standing with Israel invite those affected and their families to Germany for periods of respite with host families. We also cooperate with the organization "Hineni" and the "Koby Mandell Foundation," which provide support services in Israel for the families of deceased victims of terrorism.

Our mission

“Comfort, comfort my people! says your God.”
Isaiah 40:1
Israel – you are not alone. Israelis in need – you are not alone. Sharing in the experience, crying and laughing together, overcoming trauma, finding your footing again, opening up new perspectives, creating hope, gaining new trust in God and people, giving your time and sharing your home – gathering new experiences together.

Questions for us

In Israel, we work with Hineni, an organization in Jerusalem that offers psychological and therapeutic support to victims of terrorism. In cooperation with the Israeli charity Keren Hayesod, we, as Christians standing with Israel, also support therapy for children and adults suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Furthermore, we collaborate with the Koby Mandell Foundation, which provides support for children, widows, and widowers who have lost loved ones to terrorism. Through holiday camps and support groups, those affected can connect with others and find acceptance, understanding, and inner healing. Young people who have previously participated in these camps have the opportunity to help out at new ones. This process allows them to transition from being victims to helping others and experience empowerment.
As Christians standing with Israel, we invite Israeli victims of terrorism to a week-long retreat in Germany and Austria every year. The aim is for those affected to find respite, a time to relax, and rediscover the joy of life. Such periods of regeneration are recommended by psychologists and trauma experts and have repeatedly proven to be very beneficial for traumatized victims of terrorism.
