We stand with Israel

Quotes
I would like to thank all of you for your efforts to bring understanding and healing into the history and relationship between the Christian and Jewish worlds. May you be a force for good and generosity in this world for many years to come.
Yitzhak Herzog, President of the State of Israel

Quotes
True friends are recognized in times of need. Many of the people sitting here are the best friends the State of Israel could have. You have proven that we can count on you. In these difficult times, we see who is on the side of good and light and who is on the side of evil and barbarism.
Ron Prosor, Ambassador of Israel in Germany

Quotes
There are many who express their sympathy. But not many have the courage to show it publicly and to translate it into action. You have that courage. As children in the ghetto, we could never have imagined that one day we would have so many good friends in Germany!
Gita Koifman, Holocaust Survivor

Quotes
We are very blessed to have true friends in Christians that are full of faith, love and determination and who resolutely defend us. In this regard, our dear friends at CSI shine brightly, as they endeavor on every possible front for Israel and for the Jewish people. Standing here, with us, on the ground in Israel and never letting us feel alone, means the world to us and we promise that we will not forget. Thank you CSI!
Doron Almog, Chairman of the Executive, The Jewish Agency for Israel

Quotes
To all my dear friends from Christians for Israel, I would like to say—as the World Chairman of Keren Hayesod and as someone who travels through Jewish communities around the world—that you should know: The fact that you, as Christian friends, stand by our side in these difficult times, when antisemitism is raising its head and Jews worldwide feel so alone and isolated, means so much! Not only for Jews in Israel, but for Jews all over the world. You give us hope, optimism, and encouragement by standing in solidarity with us and by showing us that we are not alone.
Sam Grundwerg, World Chairman of Keren Hayesod

Quotes
Thank you, Christen an der Seite Israels. Your prayers, friendship and support strengthen Jerusalem. Caring for Holocaust survivors, advancing social and trauma programs and building bridges. You have not forgotten and will not forget Jerusalem. We are profoundly grateful that you walk beside us!
Arik Grebelsky, President, The Jerusalem Foundation

Quotes

Quotes
It is easy to be an optimist, for optimism is a passive stance. Hope, on the other hand, is the active conviction, lived out, that together we can make things better. Thank you that you are rekindling hope — hope that is not only committed to resolute moral clarity, but that you also live out with courage.
Michal Cotler-Wunsh, Israeli academic, policy advisor and politician

As Christians we have a deep bond with the Jewish people because we came to believe in the God of Israel. The promises He gave to Abraham and his descendants are still alive, and we’ve been graciously invited to take our place alongside (not in the stead of) the Jewish people. For too long, the Church misunderstood this. And in Germany, the misrepresentation of biblical truth concerning the Jewish people and God’s everlasting covenant with them, lead to devastating results. Many terrible pogroms and the atrocities of the Shoah later, we see it as a moral obligation to do t’shuva, to repent, to make amends and where possible to reconcile. We are fully aware that we cannot even begin to “compensate“ for the atrocities of our grandparents’ generation during Nazism. Only God can heal the wounds, give grace to our brokenness and bring redemption. But, if at all possible, we would like to be a blessing for the Jewish people and for Israel, with the resources and opportunities entrusted to us today. That’s why our bond with Israel does not depend on politics or mainstream opinion. It’s our destiny. It‘s a heart connection. It’s a privilege.
We are funded exclusively by donations. Most of those come from a large number of smaller private donors who make a conscious decision on the family budget to support Israel as a matter of the heart.
We have of more than 40 dedicated staff on board, supported by many volunteers who give their time and energy to our various projects and activities. In addition, we are blessed with a growing network of local multipliers. Together we are reaching many thousands of Christians in Germany.
